The park has several structures that were built by the Historic Civilian Conservation Corps during the late 1930s and 40s. In need of a hike? Try walking Sand Creek Bluffs - a short hike to the sandstone bluffs that overlook the green-tinted creek - is one of the most popular trails to hike. Another popular trail to try out is the Creek Loop Trail. Most of the trails in the park are under five kilometers.
If you love fishing, come test your skills at Lookout Lake. Stocked with bass, carp, catfish, and perch, the lake is the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. If you're not into fishing, no worries! You can hammock, picnic, hike, and swim.
